Plot
On the Golden Afternoon, Charles Dodgson (pen name Lewis Carroll) tells his child muse, Alice, her favorite story for the last time. Your Alice is a theatrical Victorian psychedelia that explores the complex and dynamic friendship between Mr. Dodgson and his ‘dreamchild’ muse Miss Alice Liddell, the inspiration behind Alice in Wonderland. As they sail down the Oxford river, his beloved characters weave us in and out of Wonderland and through his tortured relationship with 10-year-old Miss Liddell.
Reviews
"The production was first class. The play’s visuals were excellent, and both the costumes and the actors’ characterizations did justice to the illustrations by John Tenniel and the original characters themselves." -Doug Friedenberg, Medium (Your Alice)
"To find poignancy and power in such a ubiquitous childhood story is a remarkable feat and the ensemble cast handle its weight of tradition with sensitivity... a highly engaging watch." -EdFringe Review (Your Alice)
